Antonello Mele

From November 2000-2005, Dr Mele undertook Postgraduate Specialist Training at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Burns Unit at Sassari University Hospital. In 2002, he completed part of his higher surgical training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Clinica Quiron in Barcelona with Dr Antonio Tapia. The following year, he completed a period of training at the Craniofacial Unit, at the CMC Foch di Suresnes, Paris; and the Clinique du Chateau de la Mave, Versailles with Dr Darina Krastinova. Here, he acquired extensive experience in craniofacial and periorbital reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. The same year, he completed specialist training focusing on the techniques of reconstructive ear surgery, at the Clinica Bizet, Paris, with Dr Françoise Firmin. In 2004, he was part of Dr Giovanni Botti's medical-surgical team at the Clinica Villa Bella in Salo, Brescia. The following year, Dr Mele completed specialist training at the Craniofacial Unit, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital; the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Royal Free Hospital; and the Princess Grace Hospital, London. In November 2005, he obtained full marks in his Specialisation in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Since 2005, Dr Mele has been a private consultant, alongside Dr Gallo, specialising primarily in the field of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at various private clinics in Sardinia, Milan and Barcelona. He attends national and international conferences to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the plastic surgery industry, and he regularly publishes articles on a national and international level.

Antonello Mele

Nell’anno accademico 1994-95 si è immatricolato al corso di Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia presso la facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia dell’Università degli studi di Sassari. Ha frequentato dal novembre 1998, in qualità di allievo interno, la Cattedra di Chirurgia Plastica dell’Università di Sassari. Il 25-7-2000 ha conseguito la laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia presso la medesima Facoltà con il massimo dei voti. Dal 1 novembre 2000 al 7 novembre 2005 ha lavorato come medico chirurgo presso la Scuola di Specializzazione in Chirurgia Plastica e Ricostruttiva - Cattedra di Chirurgia Plastica Ricostruttiva - Centro Ustioni dell’Università di Sassari. Nel 2002 stage presso il Servizio di Chirurgia Plastica, Ricostruttiva ed Estetica della Clinica Quirón di Barcellona sotto la guida del Dott. Antonio Tapia. Nel 2003 stage presso l’Unità di Chirurgia Cranio-Orbito-Palpebrale del CMC Foch di Suresnes, Parigi, e presso la Clinique du Château de la Maye di Versailles, sotto la guida della Dott.ssa Darina Krastinova. Durante tale periodo ha acquisito importanti conoscenze in ambito di Chirurgia craniofacciale ed orbitopalpebrale, ricostruttiva ed estetica. Nel 2003 stage presso la Clinica Bizet di Parigi sotto l’insegnamento della Dott.ssa Françoise Firmin, acquisendo in particolare importanti nozioni sulla chirurgia ricostruttiva dell’orecchio. Nel settembre 2004 ha seguito l’attività chirurgica del Dott. Giovanni Botti presso la Clinica Villa Bella di Salò (BS). Nel 2005 stages presso l’Unità di Chirurgia Plastica Craniofacciale del Chelsea and Westminter Hospital, presso il Dipartmento di Chirurgia Plastica del Royal Free Hospital e presso il Princess Grace Hospital di Londra. Il 7 novembre 2005 ha conseguito la Specializzazione in Chirurgia Plastica e Ricostruttiva con la votazione di 50/50 e Lode. Dal 2005, come Libero Professionista, con il dottor Alessandro Gallo, svolge prevalentemente attività di chirurgia estetica presso diverse cliniche private in Sardegna, a Milano e a Barcellona mantenendosi continuamente aggiornato attraverso la frequentazione di corsi e congressi a livello nazionale ed internazionale. L’attività scientifica è rivolta prevalentemente ad argomenti riguardanti la specialità in riviste nazionali ed internazionali.
